Timehop for Android

Timehop tells you what you were doing one, two, or three years ago. This free Android app dredges your past posts and updates to show you exactly what you were doing a year ago, who you were with, what the weather was like, and so on.

Pros

Facebook log on: Logging on through Facebook makes Timehop easy to use and gives the app quick access to your personal history.

Share memories: Add a message when you share memories with others and respond to their posts.

Weather: One of Timehop's coolest features is also among its most unobtrusive; local weather data back on the day that you select.

Cons

Personal data: Timehop accesses your photos, messages, and other highly personal data, and that's an issue for many users. Once information is out there, it's very difficult (if even possible) to retrieve.

Bad memory: Timehop can't tell the difference between a happy memory and an unwelcome reminder of something you've managed to forget. So be careful.

Bottom Line

Time passes quickly, but good times don't have to be forgotten: You can relive (and share) them again with Timehop. Granted, its focus on nostalgia limits its use somewhat, and you have to take the good memories with the bad ones sometimes. But it's still cool to look back at your recent past before it slips away.
