In the battle for PC golf supremacy, Microsoft's Links series sets a high standard, with loads of customization and stunning graphics. Although Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2004 doesn't quite deliver the same amount of features or polygons as Links, it's a very well designed golf game that offers fast and fun gameplay.

The demo features holes 16, 17, and 18 of the Bethpage Black golf course. Although graphics are improved from 2003, they're nothing especially noteworthy, and grass and trees still look a little flat. Less detailed graphics equal lower system requirements, however, and animations of Tiger continue to be excellent. Whether he's pumping his fists after sinking a long putt, clutching his chest after a close miss, or snatching his club in anger after a bad drive, they're all impressive imitations that draw you into the excitement. The putting system feels much more intuitive than 2003, and easily accessible views from anywhere on the hole are another nice addition.

On an Nvidia Gforce 2, it looks great. I had to upgrade to a Gforce 4 and it is VERY choppy. Other games look great. Pitty this one place so choppy. Get the console version!!!

This pc version isn't nearly as good as the console version's.Everything is good except the mouse controlling the swing of the club.This causes you to always hook,half swing,and make mistakes you otherwise would not make on the console version.If you have a ps2 get it for that.

The game is generally well done. Great Tiger Woods simulation, pretty good for John Daly too, but hopeless for Vijay Singh, barely recognisable as him in build, appearance and just whose swing is that anyway? I purchased the full version after downloading the trial version. Big mistake!! The full version requires a different CD to be inserted every time you start it up. This is time consuming and a BIG hassle. What are laptop users supposed to do, carry around the install CDs everywhere they go? EA Sports get real!

Gives hours of play, because each game is different and there are many courses to choose from. You can also choose your playing level, and work through various scenarios to build up your character. Also the graphics are very good indeed. Especially if you use a powerful graphics card on your PC.
