This program enhances the Windows Explorer thumbnail view feature by extending the types of files Windows supports. Thumbview has no interface for the user to worry about. Users quickly install the program, and it automatically runs (when called on by Windows) as a shell extension (COM) to support 19 additional file types. Though it would be nice to have support for EPS and AI files, this is a useful, and free, utility for users who want to extend the types of file extensions the Windows thumbnail view supports.
Does what it does (and what it does is fundamental)

Pros
Light, fast, invisible.
Cons
can not choose what files not to preview, but that means nothing.
Summary
If you are a designer, you need this badly!
Great program, more users need to know of this!

Pros
This software is a great addition to those who are editing and searching through multiple media files. I personally don't want to use a "image" explorer. Windows is what I use and I want to continue with that, this works perfect for it.
Cons
Nothing.

Enable thumbnails and tool tips in Windows Explorer.ThumbView enables thumbnails and tool tips in MS-Windows Explorer for file types that are not natively supported. An amazing 19 image types are supported, namely: cut, dcx, dds, mdl, mng, pcd, pcx, pic, pix, png, pnm/pbm/pgm/ppm, psd/pdd, psp, pxr, sgi/rgb, tga/vda/icb/vst, tif/tiff, wal, and xpm. The program is not run as a process and will not consume CPU time; it is a shell extension (COM) called by Windows when it wants to display a thumbnail.
