Create thumbnails and Web pages from your photos.

This program generates thumbnails and Web pages from your photos. ThumbHTML is a utility that enables the rapid deployment of digital images to the Web. You choose the folder containing the images you wish to show, and click the 'create thumbnails' button. This will generate thumbnails of your images. You then choose the number of images to be displayed per page and a page title, and click 'Make HTML'. That's it - all you then have to do is to upload the entire folder (including the thumbnails sub-folder) to your Web site. Recent changes include the ability to add comments to each image, to extract the photo data from the EXIF headers in jpg images and the ability to create a slideshow. You can now also batch process your images creating pre-defined sets of resized images. This version is the first release on CNET Download.com.

Basic but very functional photo presentation program

Pros
Easy to use initially, but very customizable as you get more comfortable with it.
Cons
Has a tendency to "forget" your last photo location so you have to drill down to find your photos. It's not x64 so it's missing the speed features of an x64 build.
Summary
If you're looking for an inexpensive (this is free so it doesn't get any more inexpensive) tool for building slideshows or HTML photo presentations give this a try. I've personally built dozens of sites with it using 25,000 or more photos amongst the various sites. It has never let me down.

Pros
ThumbHTML is speedy, has a range of templates, inclusion of IPTC data and comments. The most powerful feature for me is the link to the full size or original image.
Cons
Since installing V2.9.1 // Build 356 a problem which stumped me is solved in this version. So, no cons - all good.
Summary
Highly recommended application, go and register it, the maker deserves a reward from you for his effort in coding this program. I use ThumbHTML for family image galleries which get distributed to relatives so that they can browse the images via tools already on any computer. Whilst I used the prior version which wasn't extracting the 'comment field' in JPG images I tried a number of other programs - forget them, they are not worth it, either buggy, large purchase price or could not build an HTML album gallery in the superb way ThumbHTML does!

Cons
It didn't create anything on my pc but a duplicate folder with my images titled thumbs.
Summary
I don't have time to figure the program out so I uninstalled it. I need a program that can create a photo contact sheet, thumbnails, with the ability to add comments, and/or text onto the image in specific places as you would mark up a paper contact sheet for editing. I need this right away. Also, I'm very involved in social networking sites that allow graphic comments to be posted. The option to create html pages with slideshows and thumbnails gave me hope that I might be able to create custom graphic comments from images, graphic art, and apply text to them and other special effects then generate html codes for internet sharing.
