If you're in the mood for some mindless, mean-spirited fun, you're likely to enjoy The Black Knight. You control an oafish knight decked out in spiked attire. By orders of the king, you must collect gold by braining helpless peasants with your club, mace, sword, or other weapons you purchase. To earn some extra cash, you also can randomly vandalize and destroy fruit and souvenir stands. The game is easy to control; you simply use your mouse to do all the dirty work. The highly detailed cartoon graphics remind us of old Warner Bros. cartoons, as does the lively music. The peasants also occasionally pepper you with humorous insults as you bash away at them. It's nice that the game changes background scenery each level, but you won't find any features for customizing the game yourself. Still, since it doesn't cost anything, we can recommend The Black Knight to users with a twisted sense of humor or a wanton destructive streak.

After playing 12 free games from the action category i believe that this one along with Warning Forever 1.4 are the best you can get. It's not something that will keep you awake at nights but if you have 10-15 minutes and nothing better to do try this.

More control over the character would be nice (you don't even control the walking!)

Neat gaming concept, for an IRS agent.
Cons
Can't do much gameplay with the mouse, the character get hung up in mid-swing. Like to see more controls over the characters. When quitting the game, monitor resolution goes at 640x480, making it too big to see the high scores altogether but goes away when you quit.

Hear ye, hear ye: the Queen needs a new swimming pool. The King calls upon you, The Black Knight, to go forth and bash as many taxes as possible from thy freeloading peasants. At each level the King tells you how many taxes you must collect. You must meet his whim by level's end or you will be fired. What's an unemployed BK to do?
