• Thang was nice to play casually, but it's gone now..?

  Pros

  I liked: the graphics, the colourful glow of a refined item, the ability to have three characters on an account and play mage, or fighter; but most of all the trading system. Buying and selling (even whilst absent!) was fab.! :D

  Cons

  The quest system was forever to be built, so there wasn't a great deal to do except level, refine your items, and trade. Thang's website always looked like it needed editing/updating, and the forum was a mess. Thang has been 'down' for months now :(

  Summary

  Overall, I didn't find Thang stimulating enough to play constantly, but I liked to pop in and play for a while every now and then, even spending some real-life money on it. Sadly, it seems the makers have abandoned it in favour of Deicide, so it just sits there forgotten. Shame.

  Pros

  Has a easy learning curve, people are friendly and can help you. There are many types of monsters ,a varity of weapons, armour and spells.The PvP battles are good and imaginative.

  Cons

  Graphics could be better and it is hard to level up after level 15. There are only 3 characters you can choose.

  Fully free and fun to play. Quick levels consistent worlds, ever more challenging areas for all lvls.

  Pros

  This game has an awesome community! The people are actually quite generous for the most part. (especially if you're a noob meeting a high lvl in a difficult area, I got 50000 dien and 600 exp. pts. that way.) However, if you like to be left alone you can do that too on Thang. (just don't talk to anyone) The game is set in the heart of China so it provides a refreshing break from all the medieval rpgs out there.It's also fairly noob friendly but is set up so the noobs won't impair your game at higher lvls. This game is a lot of fun once you get the hang of it and is definately worth a try.

  Cons

  It does take a bit of patience to learn how <p>to do everything. Don't worry the first 5 lvls are a bit difficult for everyone especially if you're the impatient sort.It also helps to actually READ the website helps!(who knew...) The game does contain a few jerks but what game doesn't? Also, NOT a good game for hackers or cheaters. You have been warned...

  Decent graphics, easy controls and survivable loading times (It's not that damn slow).

  Cons

  If you choose to be "Kanhoa/Aerican", the sword wielding avatar, you will be faced with the prospect of paying ludicrous amounts of game money for rare items caused by a faulty drop rate. Refining/Upgrading of high level weapons and high level armour is frustrating, with many items being ruined contantly. Current in-game economy is crumbling due to screwed-up drop rates for certain items, causing inflation. STILL not finished (Quests not done. OK, I could forgive it a year ago, now it's just ridiculous). The absence of a hacking prevention program allows certain players to use macros and hacks easier, forcing developers to entrust normal players with policing responsibilities in-game to prevent this. Leveling soon becomes tiresome and many veteran players quit the game in the early 100s of leveling.

  Good gameplay and considering that it's still under development.. but I'd say that it's a good game overall... better than most free mmorpg's i'd say.. has the potential to be a great mmorpg gsme after more developments..

  Bit slow sometimes.. Slow loading screens.. <p>connection problems and freezing sometimes.. still full of bugs i think.. won't recommend it to impatient players

  First off, the download.com link to this dosn't work. Google up Thang Online and right-click, save link as on the download link. <p> <p>But, onto the pros: <p> <p>This game is amazing. It manages to weed out the lamers by making it hard at the beginning (very poor weapon which you can't get rid of untill level 9), and putting level limitations on all armors and weapons above the beginning level. This is one of the things that makes the game so addictive, because you can see those items sitting in your inventory, just mocking you because you can't use them yet. As you level up, you get more abilities, such as a bigger inventory, and the shout (level 30+) and bigshout (level 50+) commands, which broadcast your message all over the server or all servers, respectively. <p> <p>Another awsome thing is the shop. Instead of having to put everything in your private shop/vending area each time you want to sell, like in other games which I won't name *cough* Kal Online *cough*, you put them in there once, get charged 4% of the price you put the item in there for, and they stay in there (and out of your inventory, which is good). The shop opens each time you sit down to recover mana and hp. <p> <p>And, unlike in other free MMORPGs, you'll find very few, if any, scammers in this game. This may be because most games that have lamers have easy levelling and barely any level restrictions. <p> <p>There are also helpful hints that appear at the top of the screen that help you get started. They've truly aided me several times. <p> <p>All in all, this game is amazingly fun and addictive. I recommend it if you want an MMORPG that's worth your time and effort.

  Cons

  There's maybe one con I can report, and that's a bug I've heard about in losing money during PvP duels. They said it has something to do with betting on them, but it should be fixed soon.

  Thang Online looks like an enjoyable expierience right? Well, thts what I thought at first. After you have created your account and loaded up the game, you're taken to a very long loading screen, which is very boring. <p>But when you've FINALLY created your own avatar and got past the other loading screen, you're now in the game. <p>But what a dissapointing game! The controls are horrible, the supposed, "tutorial", loses you from the first instruction and soon you will feel very bored, I do not recommend this game... Try.. Knight Online instead.
