Create and administer professional-looking multiple-choice quizzes and tests.
Database driven program to create and administer professional looking multiple choice (uni-select, multi-select, true/false) computerized quizzes/tests. It enables embedding of exhibits (images) with a question. It allows publishing -with exhibits- secure and non-secure tests from database to a website with the click of a button. It allows setting-up duration and passing score of quiz. It allows printing (including any exhibits) professional looking paper tests from database. It saves all test details and provides instant score results for printing. Allows test taker to review her/his performance and view answer explanations if provided. Administrator can disallow review of test answers/explanations if desired. Administrator views test results from database. Program to grade all web-published tests and to e-mail score results to test administrator is available. Program to create test taker accounts and administer the secure tests generated by the program -online- is also available.
And then, you have to buy the testgrader program. It;s just an ASP file left out of the program. Except adding it to your files doesn't mean it works. Now maybe you need FileSystemObject.
Summary
In short, an incredible headache and it shouldn't be. I finally got the pictures to work with the questions, then I tried to get the thing to grade the tests like it does when I'm putting the test together. Except once it's put together you have to buy the program to get the grader to work, then you need FileSystemObject, and it turns into way too much work. Support told me to just run it on my website instead of my computer, which I was doing in the first place. Just too much work for what should be a simple program. Find something else and skip this one. I find it really hard to believe novice users put this on educational websites. They may have bought into the freeware, then discovered its huge shortcomings, like I did.

Pros
You must double-click on enter personal information when you start the program. See etestingsystems dot com . You can make multiple choice or true false questions. Each question has a space to give an explanation of the answer. You can print test papers that look just like the ones you had in school. There aren't many buttons and the buttons included are pretty standard so it should be easy to navigate the program. You can publish the tests to the internet but this may be a little more complicated for the plain old computer user. You have to have your own website and know how to put the html in the website. If you do get the test up on the web when the "finish test" button is clicked (as in someone took the test and wants to see his score) you get a 404 page not found error. In trying to solve this problem I found out that you must have another program called TestGrader. It costs $9 for unlimited use. See etestingsystems dot com . This is probably a good program for a teacher to print quiz papers with and for an html savvy person with a personal website who is willing to pay the $9 for test grader. Of course if you are that html savvy you could probably be writing your own tests from scratch and wouldn't be looking for an html generator. But if you don't want to publish the tests they can still be taken on your computer by other people.
Cons
The look is kind of boring. Mostly white. There's no good back button. Sometimes you have to press cancel to get back but I believe as long as you press save before cancel you will be sure to not lose any work. Pressing exit will always close the program so that you have to open it again but it loads really fast so it's not too big of a problem.
Summary
Yeah, that was almost as useless as not studying.

Pros
It didn't crash
Cons
It also didn't let me make a test, it only has a sample driving test. How useless. Also isn't very professional. 1/5

Multiple Choice Test That You Can't Format!
Pros
Cons
Summary
It creates multiple choice tests for students but you can't format the way it looks, for example it left the question on one page while putting the answer choices on the next page. You can't print an answer key unless you download their other products. I guess if you needed it for home use it would be fine however, If you need a format printable for the classroom... find something else! It certainly doesn't look very "Professional" as described in the discription page, to chop up your test the way this proggy does!
