SUSU Plus for Android

Scan the app at tills to collect loyalty points and redeem them as discounts across Students' Union outlets. PepperHQ Ltd supplies the platform that powers the union's rewards ecosystem. The app groups digital stamp cards, exclusive member-only offers on selected items, and an in-app reward progress view. It targets undergraduates, postgraduates, staff, and frequent campus visitors who make purchases during the academic year and follow the student calendar.

Maps directly to familiar campus outlets

SUSU Plus acts as a single hub for purchases at union-operated spots around campus. Accepted locations include The Stag's, The Bridge, Redbrick Kitchen, The Plant Pot, and the SUSU Shop, which keeps campus spending consolidated. The app's focus on these venues means campus routines like grabbing coffee or buying essentials link into one loyalty flow rather than scattered cards or third-party schemes.

Connects with device wallets and current mobile platforms

The app supports adding a SUSU card to a device wallet so you can scan without opening the app, which speeds checkout at the till. It's available on Android via the store and also offered for iOS, and the developer notes that users should run a current mobile operating system for best performance. This setup reduces steps at busy service points during peak campus hours.

Rewards follow an academic cycle and convert to discounts

Points accumulate as you spend and convert into cash-equivalent discounts at a fixed conversion rate disclosed in the app. The program follows the academic year: points typically expire on July 31 and reset on August 1, which aligns balances with each new term. The app also exposes venue-specific stamp cards and limited-time seasonal offers alongside the standard reward balance.

Developer pedigree and local focus shape trade-offs

PepperHQ provides white-label loyalty systems for hospitality, so SUSU Plus reflects a hospitality-oriented design rather than a general retail wallet. Recent updates earned positive mentions for adding visible value and polishing the interface. Because the app is tailored to the Students' Union ecosystem, its usefulness depends on how often you visit union venues rather than on broader high-street acceptance.

To sum up, a handy campus rewards companion for regular union visitors

SUSU Plus is a handy option for students and staff who visit Students' Union outlets regularly and want predictable, campus-centred discounts tied to their spending rhythm. It is less helpful for people who rarely use on-campus venues. Pro tip: enable app notifications to catch limited-time offers and watch balances before the annual reset so rewards don't lapse unnoticed.
