• Good but fading help/support sources.

  Pros

  - Fairly fun game and a little peek at hacking life. - It helps to know a little about how computers work but isn't required. - You can follow the story-line or choose your own path. - Simple cheats are easy to find should you need them.

  Cons

  - Streethacker.com seems to be dying (login and forums no longer work). - There is some help for the first few missions but I can no longer find any walk-through's for the game anywhere and am personally stuck on a later mission and can't progress.

  Summary

  All-in-all it's a fun game but don't expect much help anywhere. There is a email for support on the streethacker.com website but I'm not sure if anyone sits by that computer anymore (I haven't tried it). In my opinion, $25 is a little steep given it's aging support network but there aren't a whole lot of games like this out there. If anyone finds a complete walk-through for all the story-line missions (not just the first 5 or so), I'd greatly appreciate a link in a reply. I've only found tons of fake torrents.

  It's headed in the right direction for all those script kiddies wanting to hack or crack and definitely worth the 25 bucks considering all the free cracks going around. The game has plenty of potencial for upgrades.

  It's a hacking sim, and I like hacking sims. <p> <p>Great game for programming geeks/gurus.

  Too difficult a gameplay for novices, and "non-hackers": <p> <p>* Stupid text based command prompt style GUI, for the most part. <p> <p>* Too complex and detailed in it's selection of hacking options and "interfaces", for most non-hackers/etc to enjoy for very long. <p> <p>************************* <p>Seriously.....if hacking games are made this way in the future, it'll be fine for the ones who can get it all. But what about those like me who don't want all the realism(i.e. difficulty and boredom) and more flash and sparkle? <p>******************* <p>This means? It means that we "novices" don't want our games feeling like work, i.e. real hacking/programming. <p>************************* <p>P.S. What really makes me laugh is people like spx/Maximusel/etc......the true Hack3rs. Lol. <p>********************** <p>If they are so l33t, they should do some real hacking and leave the games to us "newbies". <p> <p>P.S.S.   You can go out on the street and buy stuff. <p>You also can enter banks etc, to hack into the system

  --The graphics are not very good, <p>--Hacking is difficult, <p>--Buying software is the hard, <p>!!Uplink is BETER, <p>!!If uplink had the feature to go on the street and enter banks it would be even better.

  Well since this game didn't start i can't give it a good review, can i. But It has a nice crash.
