Stay Awake! is designed to help you fight the sleepiness you may experience after lunch, during boring lectures, in work meetings, or around 2:00pm in the afternoon at the office. When you are sleepy at your desk, doesn't that random phone call or text message give you that jolt? My research group is involved with studying the science of sleep, and our studies indicate that triggering a random stimulus to the human body can be an effective way to fight sleepiness. Stay Awake! is designed to give you a random alert based on how sleepy you may be feeling. You can set the strength of the vibrate. You can also set the maximum loop time of the alarm. The important thing is the alerts occur at random intervals within that window of time. In theory, this should create an unexpected alert that will help you fight that food coma. This application now supports Auto Sensing. By enabling this option, you can start the app and put the phone in your pocket. The app will detect your movements and create an alert when no movements are detected. Stay Awake! is very simple and easy to use. Just press the start button and either place the phone nearby on your desk, or put it in any one of your pockets.
