  Perfect. Replaces ALL M$ menus with a sane, clear, logical, fast, easy way to get to your programs in a couple of clicks. Display is easily put into sub-dirs that only show what YOU put in there. It's a work of art!

  Pros

  This application helps me to sort my apps in windows start menu, also it makes my start menu starts faster when I click on start menu on start-up.

  Cons

  I'm not recommend to anyone to get pro version of that apps, creating a new categories makes mess on your start menu and confusing you. Also, if you update your application vie standalone setup, the app's start menu folder will come back outside, you need to overwrite it where the category keeps your favourite apps to keep clean your start menu by using this application again.

  Summary

  I suggest to anyone should use this Winstep application in free version only, you don't need to try any Winstep apps than this, except if you have it's popular app 'Nexus Dock', if your PC are a bit faster. It's extremely recommended to sort your apps in start menu.

  Pros

  I love it that you can put your large range of programs into categories and rename them as well. It tidied up my programs into about 10 chosen categories for easy access to them.

  Cons

  It totally changed my Start menu which I didn't like. It isn't fully customizable and does what it pleases.

  Summary

  It is a very good bit of software but it has flaws. I did eventually un-install it and it kept my programs organized and my Start menu went back to how it should be so that was a plus and if it gets too much cluttered again I would re-install it, tidy up and then un-install it again.

  Deletes dead shortcuts. Give a simple UI for, well, organizing the start menu. In general, does what it says.

  Unless you're scared/cautious, you can do the same without a 3rd party app.

  Summary

  Personally, I find this useless to me, mainly because I know the folders housing the start menu contents, and freely modify them (to fit my needs). But then, I also know a lot of other people would probably prefer an easy-to-use interface to organize their start menu, and/or a safe way to do so, both of which this program provides. So, in that case, this program isn't bad/useless.

  Pros

  I've used this software for a while. It organizes, with your input, all the start menu items into about 8 categories, takes up only a little space in your "Programs" space and lists the categories for easy access.

  Cons

  Sometimes I feel that it's hard to reach a specific program, but if you try another category or two you can remember easilly.

  Summary

  I enjoy using this app, I've had no problems installing it or successive updates and my machine is running Windows 7 Pro X 64.

  It will allow you to organize your start menu in ten pre-defined categories.

  Cons

  You can not create your own categories. You will have to settle with English language in your menu. (multi-language only for payed version) There are ads for the payed version in the menu.

  Summary

  This is not true freeware. Only after installation of Winstep products you will find out they are very limited and to access all features you will need to buy a full version. On the website of Winstep they do not mention of this program being a limited version. They do not mention there being a payed version, so you are not able to find out beforehand. I do not appreciate this kind of aggressive sales techniques and therefor my advice is to look for some other product. I rather buy something from a software publisher that is straight forward about what you need to pay for. CNET reviewers should start doing a better job in their reviews as they constantly keep neglecting to mention the kind of facts I just wrote ! If they don't improve I will abandon CNET all together !

  great little piece of software. only beef i have is not being able to make your own folders in the free edition.(but the defaults are more than adequate) this is one of the few pieces of software i've found that makes me want to buy the paid version. outstanding freebie! easy to install, extremely easy to work, i have no idea how the uninstallation goes because this is a keeper.

  Pros

  Easy to install and use, almost no learning curve. Free version is very usable and if you need more flexibility a Pro version is available. Help file is comprehensive, not a one page readme.

  Cons

  Even the Pro version has one minor limitation to me. I can't drag & drop categories into categories to become subs when I don't think far enough ahead and need to reorganize.

  Summary

  This program made a huge difference in my start menu with little effort and has been added to my "Must-Have" list. So far stability is rock solid and any functionality it lacks could find it's way into free upgrades. This has become my answer to an overloaded Start Menu...TRY IT!!!

  It's already on your computer but this is so simple to use and even easier to find!

  Cons

  I'd like the sound of a programme 'flat-lining' as it's turned off.

  Summary

  Every time we download something we end up with yet another programme that is likely to grind its way into life as your computer starts. They're all very handy as that's why we wanted them but do we really want them when all we want is to check our e-mails. Once a month, open this light weight programme and see whether or not you want it there at the start of the day? A quick click and it's there in the background just waiting for you to breath life into it. If you're happy watching icons flick into life, I'm happy for you. Time is precious and do I want a computer that lumbers into life with countless programmes eating away at the memory. Yes Microsoft have a Start Up Manager but let's face it, like all their management sections, it takes forever to locate the damn thing.
