sporas.io for Android

Sporas.io is a free Android application designed to assist mushroom hunters in optimizing their foraging efforts. By providing predictive maps and weather data, it helps users determine the best times and locations for mushroom picking. The app integrates environmental data into its forecasts, offering users insights tailored to Iberian landscapes and specific seasonal species. It features a personalized area for saving favorite locations and sends condition alerts to keep foragers informed before their outings.

Utilizing precise rainfall data from reputable sources such as AEMET and SAIH, Sporas.io enhances the accuracy of its predictions, making it a reliable companion for both casual foragers and serious mycologists. The app tracks approximately 15 mushroom species, providing ecological profiles that inform users about seasonality and preferred habitats. However, it does not offer mushroom identification from photos, emphasizing its role as a planning tool rather than an identification assistant.
