It's great but it spooks my wife...

- This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />Looks great on my G5 tower with a nice big Cinema Display. The only mystery is why it responding to the motion detector in the driveway? How in the world does it do that? We've tested and tested and sure enough any movement outside the house, which can be seen by the motion detector mounted on the wall near the driveway, triggers Splash to display on-screen. When things are calm, still, motionless outsideâ??so is Splash. Dead as a doornail. But any motion outside and it jumps to life. Is this thing picking up fluctuations in the wireless network due to RF leaks from bipolar junction transducers in the the motion detector, and then via electromigration acting as a sort of actuator? Does it install a software application-specific-integrated-circuit or some linear feedback shift resister code? It's a bit eerie to tell the truth, and it totally spooked my wife who's worried that it must have some sort of built-in spyware. But it is very useful as a computer-based motion-detection alert system. Now even when I am working at my desk I know exactly the moment that company arrives, or when the raccoons are messing around with the garbage cans. 5 starts minus one for the Twilight Zone factor.
No worky.
