  I have been playing this game on a two-year old laptop for about a year now. The simple gameplay and decent graphics make it one of my favorite games. It took me about 5 minutes to learn how to play this game. If you hate spending time to learn complicated games, Space Tripper is for definitely for you. It also has some pretty graphics and a smooth gameplay. However, It does not support the rumble effect some game pads have, which would add even more realism to the game. I like to see better explosion. You know when you shoot an enemy, all you see is a tiny, wimpy explosion. Unfornately, I don't think I will get my wish as the developers have abandoned this game to make that other sucky game "Storm Mutant" which I removed from computer after a few days.

  No question about it, the visuals are gorgeous. I was expecting just another homebrew shoot-em-up, but when the graphics hit me, I knew I wasn't in Kansas anymore! I guess the gameplay can be described as an overhead variation of Defender with 3D graphics. Actually, it's a bit closer to the Commodore 64/Amiga classic game "Uridium".... It's sort of like a 2D overhead shooter, except that the perspective changes a bit when you go up or down a hill, and... uh... Oh, heck, enough trying to describe it, just download it and start blasting! Now THIS is what shareware is supposed to be: great product at a reasonable price!

  This game is AWESOME. Pure blasting action, oldschool style - no oldschool graphics here though. Rather, trippy openGL eyecandy by the ton. Controls are perfect, it just has that 'feel' to it that sucks you straight in. Runs smooth as silk, and perfectly fast on my 1.2Ghz Athlon w/ Geforce 2 MX (and Winamp going, too :) Anyways, if you have an itchy trigger finger, or get all nostalgic and teary eyed about the days of Defender and Xenon 2, or just want some tension-relieving blasting action, you -have- to get this game. And no, that isn't debatable, just go download it already :P
