Sort the Court! for Windows

Sort the Court! is a kingdom management game built around a daily decision system where a ruler answers requests with either “Yes” or “No.” Each response affects three tracked values: Population, Happiness, and Treasury, which remain visible throughout play. Citizens, merchants, monsters, and visitors arrive one at a time with short scenarios that alter kingdom statistics through fixed or branching outcomes. 

Sort the Court! includes a story arc system that revisits earlier choices through recurring characters and connected events. The city's growth displays updates to the landscape behind the throne, reflecting population and development changes as the kingdom expands over time.

A new day begins with a sequence of visitors presenting requests, offers, warnings, or unusual propositions. Each interaction ends with a binary answer that immediately modifies one or more kingdom statistics. While many decisions produce direct numerical changes, some choices activate hidden event chains that continue across multiple in-game days. Characters often return later with follow-up dialogue, creating links between separate encounters and allowing earlier decisions to influence future developments.

Branching kingdom events

Sort the Court!’s kingdom's condition revolves around three interconnected measurements. Population growth can unlock visual expansion within the city, while treasury changes determine how much gold remains available for future requests. Happiness fluctuates according to taxation, spending, and narrative outcomes. Rather than using construction menus, research trees, or military management systems commonly found in strategy games, progression occurs almost entirely through dialogue-driven choices and their resulting stat adjustments.

Several recurring characters introduce longer narrative paths involving trade, magic, exploration, and political matters. Certain visitors offer immediate rewards that can trigger later consequences, while others request investments that produce delayed returns. The backdrop behind the throne evolves as numerical milestones are reached. However, interactions remain limited to two response options, and the game does not provide direct control over city construction or resource allocation.

Growing fantasy realm

Sort the Court! combines kingdom statistics, branching event chains, recurring characters, and visual city development within a choice-based structure. Population, happiness, and treasury values respond to nearly every decision, while storylines extend across multiple in-game days through returning visitors. Its primary limitation is the narrow interaction model, as every encounter relies on only two responses, and progression occurs without detailed construction, economic, or administrative systems.
