These timings have been determined to be optimal for generic red and white wines but some varietals may benefit from shorter or longer processing. The application enables (1) variable timing(2) pause and resume(3) cancellation of processing(4) text search for the wine returning information that can assist in refining the processing time.Future versions will extend into a social networking based community of users and recommendations of wines and processing times as well as barcode scanning instead of text entry. Without a Sonic Decanter device the application can peruse online databases with many thousands of wines of a wide array of varietals but of course can only be used to process wine using the appliance.
