SlideRule for Windows 8 is an educational slide rule simulator. Before the advent of calculators, engineers, mathematicians, and students would carry their trusty slide rule or 'slipstick' around with them should they feel the urge to carry out any complicated calculations. The slide rule is used primarily for multiplication and division, and also for functions such as roots, logarithms and trigonometry, but is not normally used for addition or subtraction.
