  It certainly does appear to be an all-encompassing iPod manager.

  Cons

  All I want to do is to have the flexibility to copy certain items to an iPod without re-synching the whole thing. This claims to do that. Instead, it forces you to let it search your entire computer for files that it thinks you might want. If you want to copy, say, one Beach Boys album to an iPod, you then have to search this entire database for each song. BY TITLE, not by artist. Useless.

  -Poor support - Simplecenter only seems to provide online support, good luck trying to get them to respond. -No transcoding for PS3 -Does not run as a service, so you have to be logged onto for the application to execute.

  Summary

  Nice user interface, but the combination of poor technical support and lack of PS3 codecs for video streaming kills this product for me. I would recommend TVersity it's free and does the job, I wished I donated my $29 to the folks at TVersity instead of getting ripped off by the SimpleCenter folks.

  Pros

  when it worked it was great for streaming to my "Xbox360". that was for a time but now ?. what can i say?.

  when it worked it was ok?. i bought the "Premium" simple center. then what happened is i had a lot of trouble with my "Harddrive" so i had to download it a few times?.now when i try to log in it Says i have" logged into Different Computers"?. and i had logged in to many times?. so i can only use the "Basic" now and i paid £20.00 for Premium?. i tryed to get in touch with the company but they are very elusive?.

  It is Very Clean looking has podcast directory device support for iPod, Sony PSP, Xbox 360, Nokia N80, N93, and PlaysForSure devices. Supports the mp3 wma and aac making it play the most used file types and has a nice picture and video library to.

  Cons

  It is a bit to slow and seems to jump once in a while could stat up faster and the some of the more impressive features only available in The Pro Version which costs 19.99

  - flexible media format handling <p> <p>- many types of devices handled (usb and upnp), even works with ipods! <p> <p>- autotagging feature is excellent, with data from AMG, including cover art <p> <p>- open source

• Professional, clean UI with some rough edges and missing features

  Pros

  The UI is clean and nice looking, and seems pretty approachable for new users. Musc, Photos and Videos are supported, and it doesn't feel like the other media types were tacked on (like iTunes or Windows Media) It's based on open source code (simplecenter.org), so there should be a steady stream of improvements.

  Cons

  There are parts of SimpleCenter that don't quite seem done yet, little things that you've probably come to expect from media software. It's a little light on features, but now that it's open source, hopefully some of those holes to be filled as the project takes off.
