I can see nothing positive. When you splice, the whole video is converted into one big flicker and the video and audio streams are way off from each other.

It's an average good player. I tried to use it to merge movie files together, although there's a huge bug in that. Doesn't match the audio with the video correctly. If you're just downloading this as a player, I say go right ahead. Although be warned if you're just downloading this as a video merger!
