it is free, and it is free to register as well. Strong computer opponent with 10 levels. Option of piece choice for pawn promotion.

Easy to install and easy to uninstall. No error(s) or other problem(s). I downloaded Simple Chess from Ed's Website, because there is a difference in seize with CNet.

I believe there are no cons now after a few hours installed.
Summary
Before you can play you have to choose from Free register for a password in a receiving e-mail or play a limited time. I chose first and I got the password without paying, so this software is certainly freeware. An other point is that Simple Chess is a good working product and very satisfying is that there are three levels of strength: simple, clever and mean, because most Chess freeware have only one level, which plays too strong for me and I don't like loosing al the time. I think I will not regret for sure that I installed Simple Chess and I am very happy with it.

In the limitations , they haven't mentioned that it is a trial, we have limited time to play this. Moreover, it is not a good version. There are better versions of chess available. I do not recommend downloading this.

Play a chess game in different levels.

This is a simple chess game that plays against you. It thinks quickly and can beat my chess machine. Click on the piece you want to move, and then the square you want to move it to. There are many levels of difficulty to choose from. Simple Chess plays a full chess game with a full set of rules, back and forward buttons, and variable level setting. Pawn promotion to any piece, and en passant are catered for.
