With SIM express it is possible to edit the contacts (phonebooks, also known as memories) of a cellular/mobile/GSM phone, and exchange information with other desktop applications. You can now even send SMS messages directly from SIM express. It can also be used to backup the phonebooks. Both serial cable and infrared connection are supported.

Example phone models that work: Nokia 6210, 7110, 8xxx series (and the US models of those phones), Siemens 35-series, Benefon Twin/Twin+, Benefon Q, Motorola Timeport P7389, Ericsson models with built in modem, or suitable IrDA adapter.
