• Easiest to learn & use of all I have tried.

  Pros

  I have used this program on lame Intel Atoms, P4's, etc and have been using it for years. It works great and is easy to learn- especially with the included manual. At first, you can make an easy quake dungeon crawler, but if you use a bit of logic and look at the forums, you can make some awesome stuff, realistic lighting, animated sprites, etc. It is possible, but you have to try and think!

  Cons

  The only con I can think of is you have to individually click each tile. A drag and click would be nice for selecting multiple tiles, aka lots of floor or walls.

  Summary

  I have found this to be way better than FPSC, less buggy than all the others, and that is why I chose it to use to teach in school to 4-6th grad students. They love it, they get it, and it works on our lame computers.

  no variety/customization, bogs down on a quad core system with a 1 gig graphics card, probally over simple

  Summary

  due to the bogging down and lack of variety/customization i am going to keep looking for a fps maker that suits my needs, this one isn't it. if you can get it to run without being boggy might be good for 10-16 year olds to play with however there are eaiser ones out there to use with more variety/customization available

  Great for begginers like myself You can add custom music, textures etc

  Wheres the help file? I cant find any sign of getting the box to edit triggers etc even by pressing all the keys on my keyboard which to be honest sucks.

• The best FPSC engine ever

  Pros

  If you really want an FPS engine and don?t want to try programming, go for Silent Walk FPS Creator. Although the graphics aren?t as good as the awful buggy engine FPS Creator, the frame rate and engine as a whole is a massive amount better. Silent Walk are also going to be releasing a new version soon that will hang FPSC out to dry forever.

• Making FPS's without the mess

  Pros

  To make a FPS game before this software came along was a lot of coding and very little action. This easy-to-use game editor points you directly at the level editor right when you start off- with customizable features a click away. Percsich has made this real simple, with an easy-to-use DirectX-enhanced Drag and Drop editor so you can choose the texture you want, and place something in the world. Another excellent feature is the Game Check button, which makes sure you got everything in place. What if you want your guy to be left-handed? Simple. Just right-click the gun icon and select 'HUD Setup.' Then, when you are all done building the world, you can click the "Quick Test" button and it makes sure you didn't forget any objects. Then save, exit, and find the program and it'll be ready to run.
