ShareLoc - the flexible solution for field service management megatel designed ShareLoc to support the task of mobile data collection by service personnel. ShareLoc is optimized for deployment in various industries. ShareLoc consists of a Web and a mobile application. It replaces the handling of paper forms and data transmission faults due to misunderstandings over the telephone. ShareLoc is an iPhone App with excellent ergonomics and leads the users step by step through the data capturing process. Data once submitted to the server is processed and checked for consistency. Inconsistent information synced back to the device and the problematic portions are marked with hints for correction. The web application part of the ShareLoc service offers a form designer. Projects and individual forms are created here. Form elements can be tagged as mandatory. Submenus and grouping options make it easier to navigate the forms on the mobile device. Mobile form content is synced back continuously with the ShareLoc service and can be evaluated at any time in the Web application or via download. Alternatively, ShareLoc integrates directly into the existing infrastructure. Various deployment scenarios are possible: Metering (meter reading by utilities) Ordering process and Sales reporting Contract Control Insurance Canvassing Documentation of service visits Surveys Compliance checks and quality control Photos with integrated GPS information supplement the documentation. Direct call fields can help to establish phone contact from inside the form. Signature fields allow entry of hand written signatures for the approval process. Planned extensions for the iOS Application of ShareLoc are bar code reading and integration of active GPS navigation solutions for pedestrians, cyclists and vehicles.
