• Keeps you hidden, does not slow you down

  Pros

  I don't know if it's possible for someone else to detect your true I.P. address with SecurSurf running, but one person ran a "whoisit" on me, and they were directed to Mao Tse Tung in Peking. That suits me. SecurSurf is manufactured and distributed in Germany, so it seemed to me it would be less prone to manipulation by Bush's illegal wiretapping program. Maybe important if you live in Amerika. <p> SecurSurf operates flawlessly and rarely if ever is the proxy connection dropped. One note to CNET: The price for this security tunnel is seventy-nine euros, not dollars. That equals exactly $107.39 per year. Pricey-but-private. <p> Customer service at SecurStar is good, with live chat as well as e-mail offered. E-mail customer servive requests receive prompt replies of varying pertanence and effecaciousness. Live Chat is the other option when there is an agent available, but I have not figured out exactly what their schedule is.

  Cons

  It has an option to prevent Java/Javascript and/or ActiveX from running on your p.c., which, according to most accounts, would make your browsing safer, but many applications in Windows will not run efficiently without these programs. Any ideas?
