Used Secure Folders for Windows?
Editors’ Review
Secure Folders provides protection for your sensitive files and documents by hiding them or locking them, and creating password-only access. No matter what you're trying to keep safe, this app gives you the tools to do it the way you want through its intuitive and streamlined interface.
While there is no Help file for this app, the controls are so straightforward that you should have no trouble finding your way around. Using the buttons at the top of the screen, you can add files by browsing from your computer. The files you select will appear in a list in the middle of the app window, and from there, you can choose which action you'd like to perform. The options include hiding the file, locking it, making it read-only, and making it a no-execution file. You can change the selected action, or remove an item from the list at any time, and you can enable or disable protection by clicking the button in the lower left-hand corner. In the Settings menu, you have the ability to turn on password protection, and set a password so that no one can get into the app and make changes without authorization. You can also go to the advanced settings menu to automatically remove secure folder traces from Windows recently used applications history for an additional safeguard.
Secure Folders is a free app that offers multiple types of protection for your files. It runs well and provides a nice array of features that are very accessible to users of all experience levels.
