• Encrypts but now it won't decrypt

  Pros

  The program was easy to use with few enough options to eliminate potential confusion or mistakes and actually worked for about a year.

  Cons

  No customer service. Product works intermittently and is not supported.

  Summary

  Upon attempting to decrypt my data, the software didn't recognize the encryption and would only re-encrypt already encrypted data. I attempted to contact the company from their facebook page and email many times and received no response and now I have lost data and time. The risks far outweigh the benefits.

  Easy to use, Password enabled - Password recovery! Comes with several other small utilities as well.

  Cons

  Free version allows only one folder to hide.

  Easy enough to use.

  Cons

  - The 'hidden' folder can still be seen inside other programs, just not in Windows Explorer. (eg: FreeCommander, USB bridge-cable window). Can't see or access the folder contents tho, so that's good. - they want an email address when you install the prog. - You get to hide just one folder at a time, any more than that you gotta buy it......$6_USD. (Cheap at least)

  Summary

  Other features tried...... - The shredder works on files only, not folders. - The encryption is old-school (bit slow). - 'Hiding' a drive doesn't stop you accessing it. Other progs worth checking are Truecrypt for the big stuff (free), or Cryptainer LE (free up to 400 MB).

  Hides folders well, and even from other programs. haven't used the encription process yet, but if it is anything like the rest of the program, it should be great.
