This version of the Sea Level Rise app, our first, allows you to get information about this global phenomena as well as participate (as a volunteer) in capturing the data we need to better understand and solve the challenges it brings.Focused initially on coastal Virginia but then expanding to other regions, as a guest of the app you can: Find nearby "Trouble" spots that affect your travel during times of inclement weather Participate in crowd-sourcing events to capture the data researchers and civic leaders require but lack Follow our news stream which highlights local events and international news Take photos to document what's occurring and share them with friends or through Facebook Access private collaboration spaces Virtually everyone in and around a low-lying coastal region is or will be affected by sea level rise. This app moves us in the direction of being a better informed and connected community so we can do something about it. So if it's only information you seek, download it. But if you're looking for a way to get further involved, this app is really for you.Recent changes:This update makes things better for everyone...
