Pros
Excellent support, easy to install, constantly expanding the features and capabilities. Plugs into Cisco ISE and Solarwinds. If you tie into routers with AVC and have advanced reporting licensed it adds over 20 different types of reports.
Cons
No complaints. If there was ever a problem Plixer tech support was there to help.

Summary
I stumbled onto Scrutinizer when looking for a netflow product that was better than Prime Infrastructure from Cisco and is now my go-to netflow analyzer for all my wireless deployments. It's simple and easy to setup, and has a ton of information that you can pull and customize from the collection database. It has proven to be a great tool for us and will continue to recommend it moving forward.

Easy to set up. Great Tech Support. Supports NBAR and Flexible NetFlow data. Great Reporting.
Cons
Free version drops data after 24 hours and doesn't have some of the features available in the full version.
Summary
This is a great product that does just exactly what it is supposed to do--collect NetFlow data and report on it. If you want a versatile program that will help you monitor your network and spot user issues and traffic hogs, this program will do that. Unlike some of the other products out there, Scrutinizer is not an add-on, it is a NetFlow analyzer at it's core.<br /><br /><span class='notifyMsg'> Updated </span>on Dec 29, 2009<p/>The latest update, v7.3 has worked out a lot of the bugs in previous versions.

Pros
Easy to configure if you have netflow already enabled. Gives me excellent view of the days traffic, applications, conversations etc on ALL of my interfaces.
Cons
The adds are a little annoying, but they aren't too obtrusive for a free tool. I'd like to get more than 24 hours of data, but again it's free.

Cons
I have been trying a lot of netflow analyzers and this is the most marketing oriented of all. Looks more like an ad. The free version does not appear to do much, but I only spent an hour on it. It's extremely slow to do anything on my p4 computer (1.3 GHZ, 1 gig mem) and I'm analyzing a simple home network., less than 10 hosts. Using it is like internet on a bad dialup connection. I got discouraged quickly.

Scrutinizer is an amazing and useful network management tool. I feel like I have hired a full time network engineer. Scrutinizer watches over my network, sends automated reports to my customers regarding their host and application usage, creates alarms based on application and host usage, and has incredible at-a-glance displays so that the command center operators can have quick views of the health of our network. My favorite feature is the integration with google maps. I feel like I am using a million dollar tool that was developed specifically for my company. We are a large organization with over 40,000 end users and this is the most valuable tool that we use for network management - and it came at an incredible price! Everyone should have this tool - in addition, the sales staff was incredibly knowledgeable regarding the product and the support team was absolutely stellar in their response to my questions. I highly recommend this product!
