This program makes it simple to create a professional, self-installing screensaver. Screensaver Factory Pro 4 assembles GIF, JPEG, BMP, TIFF, and PNG images, along with Flash movies and AVI, MPEG, WMV, and ASF video files, into one content list.

You can apply customizable text labels and a variety of masks to your images. For your soundtrack, you can include any combination of WAV, WMA, MP3, and MIDI files, and preview them with a built-in player. The inclusion of video files can keep the soundtrack from playing, but the fact you select individual files rather than a whole folder makes up for that.

Eschewing the wizard model in favor of side navigation, this application has an attractive interface that makes it easy to change your mind about your settings and content. You can type a read-me file and license agreement into the program or attach existing ones.

The Options window lets you set what controls you offer your users, such as mute and transition effects. You can add banners, trial limitations, and registration tools, in addition to a couple of promotional features. Our only quibble is the generated screensavers don't install into the C:\Windows\system32 folder. Screensaver Factory Pro 4 meets the needs of anyone, amateur or professional, who wants to distribute screensavers.

Pros
Lets you customize lots of things, short learning curve, but not quite intuitive. Lets you sell your screensavers, and have your customers register and pay for them (lnking them to your order page to do it).
Cons
You can use multiple videos, too, but there is a gap between each one, so don't start planning with seamless 'cuts' in mind. There are options greyed out, and I can't tell if it's because I'm on the trial version, or it's a bug.
Summary
Lets you make screensavers as sale-able products, if you have sale-able media to work with. Use videos, pictures, audio and all the standard stuff. If you are sure of the material you're going to put in your screensaver, buy this.

very easy to use and it supports all types of files from jpeg to swf ,gif and even video files. and the program works great ! highly recommend this if your looking for a screensaver maker this is the one to get.

no 3-D screensaver options also no options to have a clock displayed inside screensavers. but i'm sure they'll be upgrading it soon for 3-d effects i hope.
