No, this isn't your mom's collection of embarrassing childhood photos but the classic Mac clipboard turned into an editable, searchable multimedia scrapbook. Apple may have disappointed some by omitting the Scrapbook desk accessory in OS X, but ScrapIt Pro X improves on all those tried-and-true features. Basically, this utility serves as a holding tank for whatever you want to park and access later. You can quickly copy and paste, import, or drag and drop images, movie clips, sounds, and notes for later use. We had difficulty transferring images from the desktop via drag-and-drop, but we successfully placed clippings into the scrapbook using the copy/paste option. With enough features to satisfy all your pack-rat tendencies, ScrapIt Pro X could become one of those invaluable programs you use countless times every day.

This is a fantastic scrapbook application. I haven't used a scrapbook since the days of OS 9, but this app is excellent. It has great features and is sooo easy to use. What I like best about it is that its so easy to just throw all your stuff at it and organize it in a flash. I can't wait for future updates

It provides a place to store, sort, display, and search all your text notes, sounds, GIF and JPEG files, and QuickDraw 3D files. This version contains a faster search routine, and the application now remembers Find dialog settings and which files you had open when you quit.
