simple to use and effective
TFS--2008- Pros
- Cons
- Summary
- This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
SafeFile is a very effefective tool for the storage of confidential information, which is frequently required. Since SafeFile stores all encryped files in one password protected window access to all confidential information is quick. Once the preferences have been optimized, one double click on the database file in the SafeFile window decrypts it, places it on the desktop and opens it with its application. Dragging the icon on the SafeFile window after usage encrypts it and shreds the decryped file. It cannot be simpler, perfectly designed tool!
I get it.

- Summary
- This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
Mac's built in encryption is an "all or nothing" offering. You will very quickly see how SafeFile is much more flexible if you keep 40GB of music in your home directory. I really think most of the comments below with the exception of two, are completely inaccurate, especially the ones that make a direct comparison beteen Mac's built in encryption. I think this product is very inmature because it's new but it certainly has a very bright future.
