Robosizer automatically resizes images when you attach them to an e-mail or other correspondence so that sending and downloading is smooth. Many images, especially those taken by digital cameras, are too large to easily send in e-mail or to upload online, but it's hard to know just by looking at one. Manually resizing them can also be challenging and time consuming, especially if you're not familiar with the software to do it. But Robosizer takes care of all of that for you.

Once you install it, this app works automatically from the taskbar on the lower right of your screen. The first time you open it, a series of instructional pop-up windows will help you get started. As long as Robosizer is open, it will quickly resize any image once you attach it to an e-mail. You will know the app is working because a little notification bubble will pop up; and once the process is complete, it will let you know the final size of the image attached. For instance, in our tests, we attached a 763KB image to an e-mail, and Robosizer reduced that to 88KB. The two images were indistinguishable from each other upon receipt of the e-mail.

This app is appropriate for users of any level. A full-featured trial is available for 30 days, and it costs $24.95 to purchase. While this might not be worth it for everyone, anyone who routinely sends photos in e-mail or uploads them to the Internet will benefit from this convenient app. For what it does, the price is very reasonable.

Developer's Description

Resize your photos on-the-fly for sharing.
RoboSizer is a fully automatic photo resizing tool that automatically shrinks and optimizes your images whenever you attach them to an email message, send them by instant messenger or upload them to the web. The program is amazingly easy to use, simply attach photos to your emails or instant messages or upload them to the web (e.g. your Facebook page) and RoboSizer will automatically resize them without changing your original images. RoboSizer eliminates the need for manual image resizing while providing you with full control over image size and quality. You can even use specific settings for different applications or switch between resizing profiles from the system tray. RoboSizer works immediately after installation with direct support for more than 30 email programs, browsers and messenger clients and will automatically reduce the size of an average camera photo by 98%. Advanced users can take advantage of custom profiles and configurable application settings that allow you to fine-tune RoboSizer to your needs. Most webmail providers limit attachment size to 25mb, this limit can be quickly reached by attaching just a few images from your digital camera (5-10mb size on average). RoboSizer practically eliminates this problem, you could easily attach 250 photos without exceeding your attachment limit.Other features include profile switching from the tray icon, support for Flash uploads, drag&drop preview, resize statistics and more. The program works with all browsers and email programs including Outlook, Windows Live Mail, Eudora, Thunderbird, WebMail (Gmail, Yahoo! etc.) as well as Skype, Live Messenger, AIM, Yahoo Messenger, ICQ and other instant messenger clients. Includes direct support for 30 popular applications. RoboSizer supports JPG, PNG, BMP and TGA images.
