This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />Since I bought it, I have been glued to my computer. One review I read said it was basically Age of Empires II, and while the battle play feels the same with much better animation and better (and smarter) computer controls, I would say that it is a great leap forward for RTS gamers. Unlike AoE II, you can play the Conquer the World scenarios, where you choose a battle from a continient map, to play, and then you zoom in to that region for that battle with a time limit and specific victory conditions. Win tribute and bonus cards, negotiate treaties with other nations in the theater. AoE II is only a single battle scenario by comparison. If you like historical RTS, then try out Rise of Nations. And, no, I am not an employee of any CPU company - I am a public school history teacher in my 11th year.
