Great for product designers!

Pros
Tons of features, easy to learn, fun to use. Just blows away those that are cheaper.

Summary
This is a great product. I realize that someone whos profession it is to design products may have a more sophisticated review, but as a new user I am just thrilled. I tried all I could to avoid buying this product, since I didn't think my needs were that demanding, so I tried almost all of the other free downloads on this site, and even ended up buying one for like $100 or so. It looked sufficient, but when it kept crashing I realized I needed something more robust. But what was most frustrating about the cheap programs is, even though they have numerous features, good luck figuring out how to use them! Almost non-existent manuals and limited web tutorials and support make them frustrating. Also, the way they do things is also not intuitive. Terms are used and not explained. Things don't go as planned and you don't know why. I was sure I could live with a cheaper program but in the end couldn't. I tried the Rhino program as a trial and got the idea I was going to like it, but only when I bought it did I see things that confirmed I made the right choice. It has little features that are just so clever, and renderings and views that are so well done. This is one slick program. I thought, since I had no previous experience, that I would be overwhelmed by this program. The opposite happened. Everything works the way you think it should. Many many tutorials in it help you get a great start and you find yourself making excellent progress before you know it. Also, as one who can't draw worth a dime, this program makes 3D renderings that finally communicate what I'm trying to get across. I bought a 24" monitor and am now in designer heaven. I just love working with this program. If you want to design products I really recommend this program. It also exports in many formats so sharing is another plus. Cheaper programs can be limited in that regard as well.
