Remove.bg for Webware

Remove.bg is a free service to remove the background of any photo. It works 100% automatically: You don't have to manually select the background/foreground layers to separate them - just select your image and instantly download the result image with the background removed!

We use sophisticated AI technology to detect foreground layers and separate them from the background. To improve the results we have several additional algorithms in place, for instance to improve fine details and prevent color contamination.

Why does it only work for persons/faces?

Our AI is trained to detect persons as foreground and everything else as background. That's why it only works if there is at least one person in the image. In the future we want to support other kinds of images as well, such as product images. If you have a special request or want to tell us about your use case, we would love to hear about it!

What is the maximum image resolution?

You can upload images of any resolution. However, for performance reasons the output image is limited to 500 Ã??? 500 pixels. We are currently looking into ways to increase this limit though. If you want to be notified when higher-resolution images are supported, sign up to our mailing list!
