  - Allows easy testing of regular expressions, even complex ones. - Entirely free :)

  Cons

  - Not many advanced options - No way to know which "engine" runs the regular expressions (POSIX?)

  I searched for a long time for a good software or site that could help me test my regular expressions. RegEx TestBed is exactly what I need: it allows easy testing of regular expressions and can show matches referenced by sub-groups. Great for anyone working with regular expressions, on a regular basis or not.<br /><br /><span class='notifyMsg'> Updated </span>on Jul 28, 2010<p/>Excellent regex testing software. The best free version available for Windows. The only downside is that it uses the .NET regex engine and there is no way to switch. If you don't know what regular expressions are or how they could be useful to you, this program is NOT for you.
