Real Racing 3 is a fast-paced game that puts you in the driver's seat of some impressive vehicles and lets you race other players. As you develop your skills in the racing world, you'll unlock better and better cars and compete on more and more challenging courses.

Pros

Customizable controls: In this game, you can have as much or as little control over your vehicle as you'd like. To begin with, you'll have automatic acceleration and brake assist turned on as you get used to the other controls. But if you want a more authentic racing experience, you can turn these features off and control all aspects of your vehicle's speed, yourself.

Lots of options: There are all kinds of tracks and events you can enter in this game. You can also choose to upgrade your car or purchase a new one, and there are even two different camera angles you can toggle between as you race.

Cons

Service time: The more you race, the more service your car will need. The problem is that service takes time, and you can only speed it up by spending Coins. Unlike the Cash you earn pretty easily by competing in races, Coins are a little harder to come by. So if you want to skip the waiting for various processes to complete on a regular basis, you're going to have to pay some real money to build up your Coin stockpile.

Unresponsive buttons: Certain buttons in the game, including the Pause button that you have to hit if you want to stop in the middle of a race, are not terribly sensitive and can require multiple taps before you get the response you're looking for.

Bottom Line

Real Racing 3 is a game you can pick up and play for a few minutes or a few hours. While some Menu buttons aren't as responsive as you might like, controls for the vehicles operate perfectly. The game is free, and there are plenty of options for in-app purchases. But if you don't mind waiting for service, you won't have to pay anything to continue playing.
