Developer’s Description

Perform single-degree-of-freedom dynamic analysis of blast loaded structures.
RCBlast is an integrated software tool to perform single-degree-of-freedom (SDOF) dynamic analysis of blast loaded structures. I became so frustrated with existing blast software while working on my Master's and PhD theses that I decided to write my own tool. RCBlast is the result of over 2 years of research, development, and testing. RCBlast can quickly generate SDOF time-histories and pressure-impulse (PI) diagrams for user defined blast threats. Blast loads can be defined as a series of pressure-time data points or they can be calculated based a specific TNT charge weight/stand-off distance. Flexural load-deformation response is input by the user prior to running the blast simulation. The software has a built-in structural analysis module that can be used to generate full load-deformation response for one-way reinforced concrete cross-sections. The structural analysis module incorporates the latest research on the blast response of reinforced concrete, including: variable axial load levels; post-debonding FRP resistance curve models, and; compression membrane arching action.Complex dynamic analysis can be performed from scratch in mere minutes with RCBlast. Input and output data are easily accessible thanks to a streamlined user interface and detailed graphical output.
