  I like that it will do photo albums and slidehows easily. That's it

  As far as "dragging" photos into the text page, or being able to quickly edit text or titles, I found it far from user-friendly. I got really spoiled using WebEasy for my PC, which was fun, intuitive, and very versatile. RapidWeaver is not simple to use unless you watch endless tutorials, which show you the plug-ins that didn't come with the program!

  Summary

  If I'd known I had to buy plug-ins to be able to make my website, I would have saved myself the 80 bucks or more that I paid for this. I'm waiting for husband to rebuild our PC and I will go back to WebEasy. Maybe I'll try to buy the Blocks and Stacks plug-ins but I resent having to do it.

  Summary

  I downloaded the demo version of RapidWeaver a few weeks ago to try it out before buying to see whether it satisfied my needs. I know I could design my Web page by writing HTML code, but why do that when it's lots easier to use a nice web design application which hides all HTML and lets you work in a GUI environment. After having played around with RapidWeaver I'm very glad I didn't pay any money for this junk software. Although it appears to be a nice application at first glance, you will soon notice once you start to use it that there ain't much you can do with it ... unless you buy lots of addons, or you write your own HTML code snippets, which I wanted to avoid by buying RapidWeaver. The cost for most useful addons is in the range 5 euros to 40 euros. Yes, there are a few addons that are free, but only a few. So once you have bought RapidWeaver for roughly 70 euros you will soon discover you have to buy one addon after the other to be able to accomplish anything at all (or write HTML code snippets but why then buy RapidWeaver in the first place). This may become very expensive in the end. To mention one simple thing you would expect being a built in feature in any Web design application is to add buttons and tables to your page. I didn't find a way to accomplish this in RapidWeaver unless buying addons. This alone makes RapidWeaver crap, but there are several other limitations you will discover once you start using it, which I won't mention here since this review has grown too long. So in summary, if you buy RapidWeaver you will soon be disappointed, unless you don't mind paying loads of money for addons.

  I went to the website and though the help material. The program didn't respond the way they said it was supposed to.

  Summary

  Since others have given various levels of approval to this program, I have to assume there was something fatally wrong with my copy. But I could get no support to verify that. Based on my experience, one star is two too many.

  The product is good, but not perfect using it. And the manual in french (very useful for a frenchman) is quite impossible to get.

  Very east to use, yet has some advanced features. The novice can accomplish almost anything that a professional designer can do either in the basic program or via inexpensive add-ins.

  Cons

  Not for some one who wants to write code or rework an existing site. But, hey, that is not what it is designed for.

  Summary

  This is for anyone who wants to get a basic web page up quickly and easily without having to learn to code. Would accomplish the vast majority of site requirements - especially if you purchase the specialist plug-ins if or when you find you need them. Only the most complex large sites need something more.

• MAC users- Want to make a website in 5 minutes?

  Pros

  Simple to use. I strongly suggest getting STACKS as an add on. It makes life very easy. Lots of nice features already built in and lots of very inexpensive add ons to grab like video players and music players. Great network online to get info.

  Cons

  Like any software package, you just need to play around to figure out the best way to use it. For example, naming your pages so they are not page1, page2. Basically, pretty good.

  Summary

  Rapidweaver is for the MAC user. I have setup numerous sites using it and found it to be a great tool. I actually remember trying to type code and look for a WYSIWYG program to view my work. Rapidweaver takes this to a new level. STACKS is a must. This add on helps one tremendously. While you can get by without it, I suggest you spend the small amount of money to make your life easy. I added FLOWPLAYER as a video player which is very nice and the music player by SymfoniP is awesome!! I would love to see a cross platform version since I do have to use a PC for work but such is life. I'd like to see cheaper templates as well but you get a good selection and once you use the program, you are all set. Easily lets you setup to dump into Godaddy so I had no issues. The online resources are great. The user groups are helpful and most questions are asked and answered. Get it today!!
