Randy Vandermolen Slot Machine offers a digital way to challenge the one-armed bandit. Easy to set up and operate, this little bit of virtual Vegas won't make you forget the real thing, but it is a fun substitute for the home casino.

For such a simple premise, the interface was surprisingly confusing at first. With a beach-themed slot machine staring us in the face, we just couldn't understand how to get started. Luckily, there's a very visual Help file that clarifies the process of playing, which in fact is quite simple. The program works exactly like a real slot machine, so we dragged coins from the program's collection into the virtual coin slot and pulled the handle to try our luck. The reels spun just like an actual slot machine, and we won or lost based on how they matched up. The program is fun at first but maybe a bit too realistic; in fact, we rode a cold streak and won little money. However, the program surprised us with a special feature that helped cure this problem by adjusting the odds to make the game harder or easier to play. Our slots quickly hit after this tweak. While nothing will ever replace actual slots for actual gamblers, this game is a great substitute and a fun way to prepare for a trip to the casino.

Simple and good fun, does what it says. Not a hype to get you into an online money game.
Cons
May need to install/uninstall a few times to get it to work. If it doesn't accept the coin try holding it over the slot for a second or two, then drop it in.

It also has a nice feature that lets you set the odds of winning so you can either play with real slot machine odds or you can set it to easy so that you win more often. It also has both a USA style and a beach style.
