You can even select a thunder sound and gently shake your iPhone/iPad to create thunder. Great fun!Charles explains, "Getting good recordings of rain is quite a challenge. Light rain is very quiet and amplifying it brings out all the other background sounds - birds fluttering, leaves rustling, cars, aeroplanes etc. For this reason, many rain recordings are not real rain at all, but recorded under more controlled conditions in a shower. I didn't want that. I wanted to produce the most authentic sound, rain that really sounds as if it's coming at you. The rain, hailstones, thunder are all real recordings.This collection of recordings were gathered over 3 years.Charles readily admits that he got completely obsessed by rain while making this album and ended up gathering over 50 hours of recordings.
