This simple, no-frills slide-show maker earns points for its convenience but lacks most key features. Once Quick Slide opens, you just drag a folder full of images to the plain-looking main window, and the program instantly creates a slide show in the HTML format. That's all fine and well, but it's a shame the program only supports JPEG images. When viewing your show, you can choose between two picture sizes and set the image delay, but you cannot apply transition effects, change the background color, add music, or generate an EXE file. Overall, Quick Slide seems best suited to brand-new users who are only concerned with the basics.

Developer’s Description

Create HTML slide shows from JPEG files.
Quick Slide creates HTML slides shows in seconds. It determines the names of all JPEG files in a Windows Explorer folder and combines them with user-customizable HTML or JavaScript to instantly create slideshows. The file created is named Index.htm. Quick Slide is easy to use: open a Windows folder containing JPEG picture files, drag a file or folder onto the white area on the Quick Slide window, and slid eshows are ready for the Internet or a local computer, or for distribution on a diskette or CD-ROM.
