Used QARC for Android?
Editors’ Review
QARC, developed by Quadro Alas Review Center, is a mobile review platform for professional board exam preparation in the Philippines. The app offers expert-led lecture content, practice tests and structured study notes to support targeted revision. It includes tools for tracking progress and comparing results nationally. Designed for criminology students and recent graduates, the service adapts a review-center workflow to mobile study for licensure and entrance exam candidates throughout the country.
What exams does the app target and how specific is its curriculum?
The app concentrates on the Criminologist Licensure Examination and NAPOLCOM entrance tests, with reviewer notes arranged by subject area to reflect licensure topics. Content shows the developer's focus on criminology rather than general criminal justice, so learners get topic-aligned study material. That subject-level organization supports revision toward professional exam requirements rather than broad introductory coverage for new learners.
Is the app usable when connectivity is limited?
The app supports on-demand streaming and lets users download lecture videos into a personal library for offline playback, enabling study without continuous mobile data. Offline viewing suits candidates who face intermittent connections or data caps. Distribution through the Google Play Store makes installation straightforward on many local Android devices, though learners on other platforms must rely on the review center for alternative access.
Does it supply measurable feedback and national benchmarking?
The platform records personalized metrics such as average ratings and reported exam pass rates, and it exposes competitive rankings plus a 'Hall of Aces' for past topnotchers so users can compare nationally. Timed mock examinations run with a countdown timer, automatic submission and post-test reviews, which provide item-level feedback and a ranked view of performance against fellow examinees across the country.
Pros
- Lecture videos can be downloaded for offline study
- Timed mock examinations simulate real exam conditions
- Performance analytics include average ratings and pass-rate metrics
- Leaderboards and Hall of Aces enable national benchmarking
Cons
- Full program access requires membership through a QARC branch
- An account is required to access the app
- Distributed only via Android stores, limiting other-platform access
Bottom Line
Final assessment with a practical caveat
The app is a focused option for Philippine criminology candidates seeking a review experience tied to an established center, a position supported by its status among top downloads in the Education category. One practical caveat: full program features, including complete access to mock exams and rankings, require partial or full membership through a QARC branch. Given that trade-off, the app suits learners who value center-aligned, measurable exam preparation.
