Create striking animations using pics, videos, music.
PulpMotion is the software your photos and videos have been waiting for. Forget the long hours spent editing and the tedious adjustments. It's all done for you: simply drag and drop your preferred photos, movies and music, apply a visual theme from the PulpMotion theme menu and you're done. PulpMotion, turns slideshows into real promenades and lets the viewer to decide what he wants to see.
Very clever and comprehensive offering -- large variety of options, colors. Great degree of control over timing and details. Almost anyone should be able find a format to suit his or her needs. Almost anyone.
Cons
Everything moves, backgrounds wobble, photos enter and exit spinning, soaring, rotating. Trying to work my way through the program at full-screen literally gave me motion sickness.
Summary
This app obviously was designed by and for people reared on video games and MTV. Everything onscreen moves; flies in and out, rotates, spins. Even the turning-page book cannot just turn pages, it zooms in and out and rotates about a quarter circle whenever it goes to a new page. This is very disconcerting for me, wanting to concentrate on the photos and not the delivery, and to my mind PulpMotion calls too much attention to itself at the expense of the images.
When I did find a module that had a minimum of dashing about and the like, the background pulsated. Or waved. Or vibrated. I'm a photographer who is looking for a medium to display my works, and unfortunately PulpMotion 3.2.1 seems to be a bit too juvenile for my needs.
I was serious when I said it made me sick. Sorry, it just won't work for me.
Best wishes

System requirements listed are incorrect

Pros
Would be nice if I could run it...
Cons
Download.com system requirements listed are incorrect. it does NOT work on Tiger
Summary
I know that this is probably a great product for Leopard users and the authors do clearly state a t their site that it is intended to work only under Leopard with Snow leopard compatibility...
so...
Why does Download.com incorrectly state that it works under Tiger? The authors on their site say it doesn't and guess what? They are correct. it DOESN'T work under Tiger.
I believe that the blame for the misinformation is probably someone at the old VersionTracker site where they got about every third requirement listing wrong.
This kind of misinformation can at the very least cause a great waste f time on the part of the potential purchaser/user of a product, and at worst cause someone to waste a substantial amount of cash at the pay-before-play download sites.
I would prefer to see much better behavior in the future!

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />Crashed when I dumped 1,200 images into it. It seemed difficult sometimes to get back to my media window after previewing - clicking the media/settings toggle button didn't always work.
I would use this primarily as a custom screensaver generator. Apple's built-in screensaver is nice but doesn't allow any user modification of pan/zoom parameters. PulpMotion is a step in the right direction but needs more. I'd love to be able to set not only the min/max zoom speeds (randomized within that range), but also the min/max zoom levels - sometimes Apple's screensaver zooms in so far you don't see much of the picture. PulpMotion also only ever seems to zoom in - it should zoom out as well (randomized). I'd very much like to see a random-order (shuffle) function, too.
Easy to use, cheap, good with iPhoto

Pros
Easy to use, well integrated functions with Mac Tiger and iPhoto. Affordable (costs 30 Euros), good effects gallery.
