Okay if you can think fast
solitairedaxel- Pros
- It's a fairly good scrabble game (and it's free!)
- Cons
- Computer players like 2-4 letter words which clog up the board It insists on showing you the computer players' tiles even when the option is unselected, so you can't work out words in advance of your turn Dictionary is limited
- Summary
- File msvcrt.dll is in the wrong folder when you unzip it. if you get a 'msvcrt.dll is missing' message, move the file from top-level directory down to the same directory as proscrabble.exe (yes, I copied this from an earlier review, but I figured it out all by myself when I tried to run the game the first time :P). I personally don't like all the little flaws in the game, but I've kept it installed to play occasionally. It won't become one of my favourite games, though.
Doesn't work
fordmank- Pros
- sounds good
- Cons
- doesn't work
- Summary
- waste of time
Romanian-made, English dictionary is BAD. Weird words.
saamas- Pros
- The graphics and design are good. The computer levels are also good. Easy to use and set up for new users.
- Cons
- Since it was made in Romania, the dictionary is FAR from accurate. It would give words like Li and Oe as English words. It became too frustrating to play against a computer that uses false words and rejects real ones.
- Summary
- Liked the design, but ultimately had to uninstall because it was no good as a learning tool for new players.
Not bad but dictionary needs improving
holz15- Pros
- The game itself is simple but usable and enjoyable.
- Cons
- Even after just a few plays, I've spotted several gaps in the dictionary. You don't get a second chance to play the round if the game doesn't recognise a word so it does become quite frustrating.

There does seem to be a way of editing the dictionary but there is no help on this and I haven't been able to get it to work so far.
- Summary
Its ok
jabbamp- Pros
- Nice colourful interface if you know your way around a scrabble board. Challenging enough CPU players that you can give skill levels to.
- Cons
- Its a bit slow when you have played other more faster working scrabble games. You have to learn not to do certain things like double click on the play area when you are laying letters otherwise it takes it as your turn and does not offer you a "Are your sure". Its free and so cool enough.
- Summary
Great program - challenging
ahc010- Pros
- Easy to install. Complete with skill levels and dictionary. Playing against the AI is not as easy as you think. Four skill levels will sharpen your skills. Warning - addictive
