Whoa! Most complicated AAC app we've ever used and NO technical support (they are in Europe). Found TalkTablet for $80 and it is a MUCH easier app to use with MORE features...including a US based tech support phone number. :0)

Pros
I enjoyed how robust/stable proloquo2go is, and the speech engine they employ is top notch. They have a large library of picture icons.
Cons
However it is difficult to build anything more complicated than simple phrases... and the more specific your message...the more hunting and pecking to find what you want. In fact, it's confusing and too complicated for lowering functioning kids.
Summary
I dislike the complexity of the user interface. The software uses too many folders and sub-folders... and building a complex sentence without typing is nearly impossible. And sometimes the sentence you build gets deleted when you try to navigate to other folders and other icons to add to it. And I got really sick of hitting the "back" or "home" button during navigation. While I think this is a good start for HIGHER functioning nonverbal kids & adults... and it's competitively priced compared to Dynavox and other systems like that... it's really not worth $189.00. Better software will come out, driving this price down I have no doubt.
