Access your Mac's files remotely via web browser and iPhone.
With Presence you can forget USB drives and file sharing services - all your files will be available, all the time. No copying files. No guessing what you might need later. For you, secure access to your whole Mac. For others, access just to the files you share.

On re-start, various attempts to log on to a variety of places are reported by LittleSnitch. Why would FarFinder want to connect to Google, Yahoo, Microsoft and goodness knows where else.
I want to uninstall. But...how. Spotlight does not disclose what was put where.
This could be a dangerous tool or it just might be a badly-authored tool. Either way, I don't want anything more to do with it but I appear to be locked in now. Shame on the developer.
Wonderful Mac utility

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I have been using FarFinder for a while. I don't understand any negative feedback on this app. I have been using it for many months without a problem. Any problem with this app. usually results from a FireWall. This is Back to My Mac on steroids except for the screen sharing. Now with the iPhone app. the $35 charged for all this can do is chump change.

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
Too complicated for me to handle at this stage. instructions are not clear at all, e.g. lots of passwords are floating around, and it is not clear when to use what. Restart does not work. And this later version does not like Safari (more stable on Firefox).
BTW, Uninstalling does not work at all. You need to look for all associated files via (say) EasyFind, trash them manually, and then use the Empty Secure trash.
PROBLEMS!

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I use FarFinder on a couple of my Macs and it works like a champ from any web browser and even from the iPhone, allowing me to remotely upload/download files from my office computer when I'm at a client's or otherwise not in the office. I'm surprised by the lack of reviews of the product considering its price point and feature set relative to the competition. I've also tried Searchlight, which seems to be a very good product as well, but is roughly three times the price and doesn't allow users to browse remote files (so far as I can figure out).
By contrast, FarFinder allows one to browse files or use Spotlight to immediately find anything by content/name. In addition, the developer has been extremely responsive to any questions I've had. The only thing that I wish FarFinder had that Searchlight does is the ability to recognize server user accounts or sharing-only accounts. Currently, FarFinder only recognizes local accounts that have an actual home folder. Hopefully this is a feature FlyingMac is working on, but I don't know.
Overall, FarFinder gets my enthusiastic endorsement, making it that much easier to be productive wherever I am!
