• Does What It Claims to Do

  Does as it claims, but do not expect any fancy footwork or frills. Be sure to create a folder for the backup files IN ADVANCE of attempting to back-up your driver files. You can later compress this folder to save space.

  Cons

  See above. Not a fancy GUI or offering a lot of options. Be sure that you identify a separate and distinct disk drive. The program relies on you to compress the files and restore them on your own, if needed.

  Summary

  This does what it claims to do, and some care and feeding will result in excellent results. It does require you to do some of the prep and post finessing, but in some ways that is best, as the user gets to determine exactly what he or she believes should be done. Users looking for auto-updating of drivers should check out DriverMax or some other application as this makes no attempt and no claim to perform this duty. After having to reinstall my system a couple of time due to C Drive crashes, this tool ends up saving a huge amount of time. So, well worth the price of entry even at 10 X the free price. :) Please give it a try and remember to setup a destination folder on your other disk drive first!

  I liked nothing about it.

  Cons

  It just backs drivers up but doesn't restore them. You have to buy the paid version in order to be able to restore them. Wnat can you do with backing up without restoring.
