• Get email notification software!!!!

  Pros

  I have GoDaddy email and use Windows XP and GoDaddy workspace email notification software has recently stopped working for Windows XP. With POP peeper I have it better now than it was before.

  Cons

  NO CONS. Does what it says it will do and straight to the point, no fancy stuff.

  If you have several email accounts, POP Peeper allows you to monitor all of them easily.

• Exactly what I was looking for

  Pros

  It works as good or better then I hoped it would. A visual and audio notifier. It does much more then I need but I'll practice with it and probably find there is more to it that will be very useful. I looked long and hard to find the right notifier that I would be satisfied with and this is it.

  Cons

  Now the bad part: after I installed it I had Delta search hijack my google chrome. I couldn't get rid of it so I downloaded a malware remover that appeared to be FREE but wasn't. So after uninstalling it I couldn't get to any sites without it blocking me. I ended up paying windows help $100.00 to clean everything up. It took days to clear up this mess.

  Summary

  After all this I have POP Peeper working , free of any problems and I like it very much. Now just maybe it was a coincidence Delta Search showed up at this exact time I installed PP, but I'll never know. At this point I don't care because it works great and does everything I wanted it to. I would highly recommend it.

  Pros

  small, safe, easy and features to collect webbased e-mail without having to deal with overcrowded screens and advertisement. A great tool I use for safe viewer e-mails which I dont trust and to notify me of new arrived e-mail in both pop and webbased accounts. Highly personal changeable ui. Great way to view possible infected e-mails without getting infected.

  Cons

  no spamfilter but then again I dont expect one in a notifieying tool.

  Summary

  My personal champion of all offered free software tools since the year 2000. The best if you are looking for a clean light simple pop and webbased e-mail arrival notifier.

  Pros

  As a notifier, it works, with a change in the tray icon and a sound.

  Cons

  When it notifies of new mail it's no good just going to your webmail, you MUST open the messages on the app itself because until you have done so, the tray icon will continue showing you have new mail. Thus you might fail to notice something newer has come along. I found no way to mark messages as read, I had to open them even if I didn't want to (like if they were uninteresting, or I'd already read them in my webmail), and they could only be done one at a time. The same applied to deleting them, I could only do them one at a time. The icon of a mailbox has little meaning to those from countries outside of the USA.

• Couldn't work out how to get it to do what I wanted

  All I wanted was an icon on my task bar, telling me how many new yahoo emails I had. Don't know if it was me not being able to work out how do do this or the software but gave up.
