Great program, works well, could use more documentation

Allows you to open a browser or chat window without alt-tabbing while in a game. Very low resource pull on computer as it loads in background as a kernel Can do a variety of other things without leaving game- chat with facebook or other IM's, control itunes, etc Actually works! Can be a more powerful alternative to Steam if you don't like it. no spyware or anything else installed with it that I could see

Summary
Happened across this purely by accident and decided to try it out. I love MMO's, but hate having to alt tab to do other things (e.g. chat, look something up on the web, change my music playlist, etc.) This lets me do all of that and more while still in the game without having to open or go to another window. It does it through a see-through overlay that you can adjust and move around your game window so that it doesn't interfere with the game. Very nice and handy. It's just a bit difficult trying to figure out how to install and get it to work, but once you do it's wonderful. After you download and install, it is going to ask for a sign in. As it does this part it hung on me on two different computers. After I shut it down, then tried again then it asked for permission to run, and did so just fine after I did that. The UAC for some reason hung it up in the process. It will need a restart after it installs a driver. After that when you start it you will have a small box on your screen with a few icons that lead to different app widgets- chat, web browser, wiki, etc. These can be adjusted and other widgets added through the settings. I haven't played with this to much as of yet, but if others build widgets it can offer quite a bit I'm sure. It took me a few tries to get it to work in the game. After some playing around I realized that in order to have it on top in the game I needed to right click my game icon (instead of the normal double click) and choose "start with Playexpert" After doing that my game started up just fine and I had no issues. This worked with both Lord of the Rings Online and Star Wars the Old Republic. The box will then be on the top of your game screen where you can move it around (using the left side of the box) to where you would like. clicking on the right side of the box will let you resize it, and clicking on the widget buttons will let you open them up. Need to look up something on the web? Click on the globe and it will open a browser window inside and on top of your game. Look up what you need to while still being able to see and be active in your game. Chat windows work the same way. Overall a great program. I love what it does. My son said that Steam does a lot of it, but I refuse to use Steam because it's a resource hog and I don't like all the stuff that comes with it. But Steam won't let you chat with facebook, yahoo, AIM or others in game while this will. This will let you do other things as well that Steam doesn't. I'm just hoping that it doesn't get forgotten and that it continues to get developed.

Summary
The developers have a good idea, however the software simply doesn't work. I run Windows 7 x64. The software simply never worked for me, despite rigorous research which shouldn't have even been necessary. I ran PlayXpert with Steam as an alternative to the steam web browser, perhaps a conflict? I got the overlay to work but the web browser either wouldn't launch, would launch and crash, or would launch and not show the web page's content.
